HPE Aruba Networking MC-VA-50 (RW) Support for 50 AP Virtual Mobility Controller License E-LTU
Aruba Virtual Mobility Controller (VMC) is deployed as a Virtual Machine and runs on ArubaOS 8. It provides a flexible deployment alternative to hardware mobility controllers (72xx and 7xxx). This virtual controller also provides plenty of capacity and speed for BYOD and IEEE 802.11ac devices for both campus or branch deployments. VMC can be deployed as standalone or managed by the Aruba Mobility Master where it can support up to 100K users. A VMC deployment can benefit customers from operational cost savings as it can reside with other VMs sharing the same existing virtualization infrastructure.
Flexible Deployment and Ease of Operation with Aruba VMC
- The Aruba Virtual Mobility Controller can be deployed on VMware ESXi or open source KVM hypervisor.
- The VM form factor makes it easy to dynamically scale to support the needs of a rapidly growing enterprise, enabling a much more efficient use of resources by adding more CPU and storage resources.
Supports ArubaOS 8 Features and Capabilities
- The Aruba Virtual Mobility Controller runs on ArubaOS 8 and has all the innovations associated with ArubaOS 8: always on network with controller clustering, optimized RF management with AirMatch, 3rd party integration with NBAPIs and AP multi-tenancy with MultiZone.
- ArubaOS 8 uses a centralized, multi-tier architecture under a new UI that provides a clear separation between management, control, and forwarding functions.
- VMC also supports all of Aruba’s enterprise-critical capabilities like AppRF, Airgroup, advanced cryptography, IPv4 and IPv6 services, Adaptive Radio Management, ClientMatch, and RFProtect module and wireless intrusion protection.
